THE REGION
The Visayas region of the Philippines offers divers an extraordinary variety of experiences, from vibrant coral reefs teeming with reef fish and invertebrates to deeper waters where larger pelagics like sharks and tuna roam. Dive highlights include encounters with the elusive Thresher Sharks at Malapascua and seasonal Whale Sharks in Southern Leyte. Macro enthusiasts will delight in spotting pygmy seahorses, frogfish, and nudibranchs, while wide-angle photographers can capture stunning reefscapes adorned with sponges, tunicates, and corals. The thresher sharks of Malapascua are a worldwide highlight. Nowhere else in the world do you get this close to these unique sharks. Here we will spend two days diving and photographing the most unusual shark in the world.
THE BOAT
Custom-built as a liveaboard in 2013, the Infiniti is a luxury, 39-meter-long vessel that joined the Atlantis family in Fall of 2024. It’s designed across four decks to ensure there’s plenty of space for up to 22 guests while being equipped with world-class navigation systems and safety equipment.
Atlantis Infiniti operates week-long itineraries to explore the magnificent underwater worlds of the Visayas, Bohol and Malapascua Island. The outstanding and varied dive sites on their Philippines liveaboard trips will see you encounter incredible shark life, spectacular wrecks and pristine coral reefs, coupled with warm hospitality and friendly service above the water.

SIMON LORENZ
Simon is a scuba instructor and award-winning photographer, tech divers and freediver who speaks 6 languages and has dived on 6 continents. The founder of Insider Divers aims to create group trip experiences with that extra special something. He aims to find unusual experiences, unusual sites and meet and greets with local experts.
A scuba instructor and reknown photo coach he offers additional training during the trips to those interested. On all Insider Divers trips he will host talks, video screenings and workshops to enhance your understanding of the animals that we encounter.
